Detroit, MichiganAnika Wilson is an alumnus of Grand Valley State University where she obtained her Bachelors in Business Administration and Master of Science in Accounting. Ms. Wilson is passionate about increasing financial literacy, particularly in communities experiencing socioeconomic strain.
She has gained technical and professional skills from her prior internships with Plante Moran and Spectrum Health. Apart from her involvement in the business community Ms. Wilson is an active mentor and teacher in her church. Over the last few years she has dedicated her time to helping micro enterprises prepare financial budgets and has participated in various community service programs such as Senior Meals on Wheels and Habitat for Humanity. She was an active member of Grand Valley Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi and Institute of Internal Auditors and served as Treasurer of Minorities Interested in Business and Seidman’s Undergraduate Advisory Board.
Ms. Wilson plans to develop a program that will help lead many children to accomplish future success. She is a Certified Public Accountant candidate and is employed by Plante Moran as an Assurance Staff.
